So they say that marketing is the process of planning and executing the conception, pricing, promotion, and distribution of ideas, goods and services to create exchanges that satisfy individual and organisational objectives, and that when a business moves from a product orientation to consumer orientation, and the business dedicates all of its policies, planning and operations to the satisfaction of the customer they have achieved the marketing concept.

At GTi we say….mmm, cool, let’s translate theory into sales!

The bottom line in marketing your product or service is ...YOU GOTTA HAVE A PLAN!

Experience has shown us that when faced with the prospect of drawing up a marketing plan most clients head for the hills. "What do I know about this stuff?" "That's what I pay you for!" and the likes. No worries. A marketing plan does not have to be a university thesis on marketing strategy. A marketing plan is really just like setting off on a road trip. You have to know where you are now; you need to know where you want to be; then all you do is plot the route there - easy stuff.

OK, it helps if you have a check list of all the things that you will need to make your journey just a little easier (and more pleasant) and a bit of guidance from someone who has planned a road trip before, and the next thing you know you'll be on the road to success.
